AbstractThis article brings review of the studies and their findings about neuroplasticity of the brain and Braille reading, as well as some connections between the two. The goal of the article is to combine knowledge from different disciplines, thus enabling development of new efficient programs in rehabilitation. A lot of research has shown the possibility of brain reorganization (plasticity), indicating the creation of new neuron connections in people with vision loss which relate to Braille reading, especially in late-onset vision loss.
