- Can Nurse. 2015 Jan 1; 111 (1): 28-32.
AbstractAssisted suicide is now legal in several jurisdictions outside Canada, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Oregon, Washington State and Vermont. In Canada, public support for the decriminalization of assisted suicide is increasing, although assisted suicide remains prohibited under Canada's Criminal Code. That may soon change and, as patients'advocates, nurses need to khow and understand their roles and current laws relevant to treatment and end-of-life care.
