AbstractThe number of older adults with cancer is growing in the United States, and there is a relative paucity of data relating the presence of frailty with its outcomes of interest. The authors present the surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology literature with respect to the presence of frailty in older adults with cancer. More research is needed to understand how the presence of frailty should be used by surgical, radiation, and medical oncologists to guide patient counseling and treatment planning.Copyright © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
