AbstractDespite sometimes dramatic results, crisis resolution and home treatment services still face resistance from some mental health teams. Key concerns, which the authors dispute, include applicability to deprived areas, pressure on crisis teams, patient risk and changes to the work of consultant psychiatrists. Co-operation across the whole care system is essential to success.
