AbstractThe comparative structural and systemic analysis of 303 forensic medical expert conclusion (acts) made it possible to reveal and systematize errors encountered in forensic medical practice at the stages of investigation, interpretation, and estimation of the obtained results. The authors distinguish between performance errors and cognitive errors in the course of forensic medical expertise. The definition of the notion of "expert error" is proposed. The process of error analysis is described with special reference to forensic medical activities.
