AbstractWith the growing financial restrictions, economic evaluations in public health are becoming increasingly relevant. The pressure on justifying increasing costs is considerable, particularly in the field of oncology, where highly acclaimed treatment methods exist and are newly developed. In order to determine the efficiency of a medical measure, different study types of varying complexity were designed and employed according to the conditions of the structure. The advantages and disadvantages of the different study forms are discussed on the basis of the folinic acid example.
