    BackgroundRenovascular hypertension as a secondary form of hypertension can be improved or cured in many cases by interventional radiology or vascular surgery.BasisThe renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and the development of hypertension are linked in renovascular hypertension.Clinical AppearanceEarly clinical symptoms are of special interest in diagnosing renovascular hypertension.Diagnosis And TherapyNowadays, angioplasty or stenting have mostly replaced surgery in view of treatment of renovascular hypertension.ConclusionRenovascular hypertension, if diagnosed early, can be improved or cured in many cases regarding hypertension and/or renal insufficiency.
