AbstractThe long-term societal impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) includes not only those who have died from COVID-19 but also those who have survived with prolonged residual symptoms. "Long COVID" symptoms such as fatigue may impair an individual's ability to work, but gaps in disability law may leave such workers vulnerable to job loss and involuntary retirement.
