AbstractA comparative study was made of the results of surgical treatment of 292, 290 and 349 patients with intracranial meningioma operated, respectively, in 1946-1966, 1970-1980, 1986-1996. The results were compared by radicality and postoperative lethality. The picture by these two parameters was the following in the above three periods: radicality--69.9%, postoperative lethality--17.8%; radicality--81%, lethality--15.5%, radicality 72.5%, lethality--5.2%. It is evident that, with time, the results of the surgery were constantly improving.
