AbstractWe report a case of retroperitoneal hemorrhage due to spontaneous rupture of a right adrenal pheochromocytoma, presenting as an acute abdominal emergency with symptoms of peripheral vasoconstriction. An elective operation was successfully performed on day 7 after sufficient volume replacement with continuous administration of an alpha and beta-adrenergic blocking agent.
