AbstractOn the basis of analysis of the treatment of 2738 patients with lung carcinoma (331 women, 2407 men) it was shown that the leading factors responsible for the course of the disease in women are the morphological structure of the tumor and the form of its growth. The prevailing histological type of lung carcinoma in women was found to be glandular carcinoma. One of the main specific features of lung carcinoma in women is the prevalence of a peripheral form of tumor growth over the central one, which determines specific symptoms and the clinical course of the disease.
