AbstractWe report herein 2 patients with intractable postoperative bronchopleural fistula with empyema after lobectomy or subsegmentectomy. The patients underwent several treatments including thoracotomy, but the fistula closure was not successful. Finally, the bronchopleural fistula was successfully treated by endobronchial closure using vascular occluding coils and n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (Histoacryl).
