AbstractSome of the newer antimicrobial agents that have either appeared on the market, will probably soon appear, or that are being used in other parts of the world and are therefore worthy of our interest will be reviewed. The agents reviewed fall into the following four classes: antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, and antiviral.
