AbstractThe author describes methods of surgical treatment of people wounded in the neck area with injuries of the esophagus. Clinical observations are presented which show that breach of the rules of revision of the wound canal and organs of the neck will inevitably lead to a diagnostic error. The method and volume of the surgical intervention for wounds of the esophagus depend on the kind of the injury and time from the moment of trauma.
