AbstractA neonate with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection draining via the right cardinal vein into the superior vena cava had a chest-X-ray unsuspicious for congenital heart disease, and initially was treated for neonatal sepsis. But as the clinical state impaired and cyanosis increased, sectorechocardiography revealed the right diagnosis. The child died soon after corrective surgery.
