AbstractThe management of four patients with severe pancreatic pain is discussed. Bilateral coeliac plexus block with alcohol gave effective pain relief to the three patients with pancreatic carcinoma and the one patient with acute pancreatitis. The treatment of the pain of acute and chronic pancreatitis is reviewed.
