AbstractPostoperative blindness is an unpredictable, devastating, and yet not-uncommon complication of anesthesia. The diagnostic evidence led us to believe that it was bilateral posterior ischemic optic neuropathy; however, the true mechanisms of damage remain a matter of speculation.
