AbstractVascular emergencies are an uncommon but significant cause of abdominal pain, back pain, hemorrhagic shock, and death in adults. This article reviews abdominal vascular anatomy, risk factors, signs and symptoms, abdominal vascular thrombosis, mesenteric ischemia and infarction, and abdominal vascular emboli and aneurysms.
