AbstractAn experience with the treatment of 380 patients with rheumatic heart disease has shown that late stages of the disease are necessarily accompanied by the thromboembolic syndrome having exact clinical manifestations and definite stages. Pathogenesis of the thromboembolic syndrome is based on changes of the vascular bed, microcirculation and hemocoagulation parameters. So, control of factors of thrombus formation, prophylactics and therapy of thromboses and embolism are necessary in the process of surgical treatment of acquired heart diseases.
