AbstractAn analysis between relationship of PEF (measured with Vitalograph meter) and dynamic volumes (FVC, FEV1 and PEFII), maximal expiratory flow volumes (MEF25%, MEF50%, MEF75%) measured with Pneumoscreen by Jaeger was carried out in 9 year old boys (26 with atypic asthma and 36 healthy volunteers). Statistical significant differences were seen between PEFI (p < 0.001), FVC (p < 0.05), FEV1 (p < 0.01), and MEF25% (p < 0.02) in healthy volunteers in comparison with boys with atopic asthma in the clinically silent period.
