AbstractTricho-hepato-entric syndrome is a rare congenital disorder characterized by hair anomalies, neonatal hemochromatosis and intractable diarrhea. A three-year-old girl with this syndrome received general anesthesia for inguinal hernia repair. Anesthesia was induced with nitrous oxide and sevoflurane, and maintained with sevoflurane and fentanyl without muscle relaxant. Rectal acetaminophen was administered and ilioinguinal block was performed for postoperative analgesia. The anesthetic course was uneventful.
