AbstractFor a number of reasons it is recommended to disclose one's HIV-seropositivity to the dentist. This information will enable the dentist to take extra precautions during treatment. Furthermore, extra measures may be taken with regard to prevention or early treatment of dental and oral diseases, e.g. gingivitis, candidiasis. The dentist and the other members of the dental team are supposed to obey strict confidentiality.
