AbstractIn this inaugural review, we present noteworthy advances in perioperative echocardiography relevant to the cardiac anesthesiologist. The importance of perioperative echocardiography continues to grow with cardiac anesthesiologists positioned in a critical role throughout the perioperative care continuum.
