Case Reports[Craniopharyngeoma preceded by many years of psychological peculiarity in a young man.]
We present a case of a young man with severe hypothermia on the basis of a large craniopharyngeoma. He had been psychologically peculiar since the age of six and had deteriorated dramatically since his late teens. Craniopharyngeomas are slowly developing benign tumours but they can cause severe damage to the neuroendocrinological systems or hypothalamus causing a wide range of symptoms including psychiatric disorders and hypothermia. Intracraniel neoplasms should be considered as a differential diagnosis in cognitive dysfunction in the young or in acute hypothermia.

Case Reports[Severe vitamin D deficiency causing hypocalcaemic seizures in an ethnic Danish teenager].
We describe an ethnic Danish teenage boy presenting with repeated non-febrile generalized hypocalcaemic seizures. During the previous two years he experienced fatigue, painful legs, increasing social isolation and failure to attend school. ⋯ After treatment with vitamin D his symptoms resolved and he became increasingly social and outgoing. This case describes possible non-skeletal effects of severe vitamin D deficiency and underlines the necessity of measuring ionized calcium at the presentation of non-febrile seizures.

Case Reports[Uterine rupture caused by placenta percreta in the first half of the pregnancy].
A 32-year-old woman in her 18th week of gestation was admitted to hospital due to abdominal pain and hypotension. A CT scan showed bleeding from the uterus into the abdomen and an acute laparotomy revealed a uterine rupture due to placenta percreta. ⋯ However the next morning the bleeding continued and a total hysterectomy was unavoidable. This case report shows that uterine rupture due to placenta percreta is a differential diagnosis in pregnant woman with abdominal pain and hypotension, even in the first half of the pregnancy.

Review[Faecal transplantation as a treatment for Clostridium difficile infection, ulcerative colitis and the metabolic syndrome.]
Faecal transplantation as a therapeutic tool is increasingly reported in the scientific literature. Faecal transplantation is currently becoming a treatment for nosocomial, refractory infections with C. difficile. ⋯ In the accumulated literature faecal transplantations appear to be safe, effective and superior to current treatments. Faecal transplantation remains a sparsely investigated treatment, however, especially for other diagnoses than C. difficile infection.

Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid. Abuse of fentanyl patches is rarely occurring, but has been described. In this case a patient had been drinking hot tea mixed with two fentanyl patches. ⋯ He was intubated and he responded to naloxone treatment, which was repeated several times during the observation. When fentanyl patches are abused this way large quantities of fentanyl are absorbed, giving severe and prolonged effect - exceeding the antidote. The patient must be observed for several hours in an intensive care unit.
