Meta AnalysisAngiotensin-converting enzyme insertion/deletion polymorphism and susceptibility to Kawasaki disease: a meta-analysis.
The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) I/D polymorphism has been reported to be associated with Kawasaki disease (KD), but studies to date present conflicting results. ⋯ The I/D polymorphism in the ACE gene may be associated with susceptibility to KD.

Review Meta AnalysisEvidence for decreasing sperm count in African population from 1965 to 2015.
This meta-analysis, following our previous reports those documented an overall 57% diminution in mean sperm concentration around the globe over past 35 years and 32.5% decline in past 50 years in European population, attempts to report the declining trend of sperm concentrations in African population between 1965 and 2015. ⋯ This comprehensive, evidence-based meta-analysis and systematic review concisely presents the evidence of decreased sperm concentration in the African male over past 50 years with possible causative factors to serve the scientific research zone related to male reproductive health.

Meta AnalysisAssociation between ALDH2 Glu504Lys polymorphism and colorectal cancer risk: a meta-analysis.
The findings from studies on the relationship between aldehyde dehydrogenases(ALDH) gene Glu504Lys polymorphism and colorectal cancer(CRC) were inconsistent. ⋯ This meta-analysis suggests that the ALDH2 Glu504Lys polymorphism may be associated with susceptibility to CRC. Furthermore, large and well-designed studies are needed to confirm these conclusions.

Meta AnalysisMoyer's method of mixed dentition analysis: a meta-analysis.
Mixed dentition analysis forms an essential part of an orthodontic assessment. Moyer's method which is commonly used for this analysis is based on data derived from a Caucasian population. The applicability of tables derived from the data Moyer used to other ethnic groups has been doubted. However no meta-analyses have been done to statistically prove this. ⋯ Variation in the correlation coefficients of different populations using Moyer's method may fall either side. This implies that Moyer's method of prediction may have population variations. For one to be sure of the accuracy while using Moyer's method it may be safer to develop prediction tables for specific populations. Thus Moyer's method cannot universally be applied without question.
