Biochanin A restored the blood-brain barrier in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in rats.
Blood-brain barrier is a protective layer that regulates the influx and efflux of biological materials for cerebral tissue. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Biochanin A on cerebral histopathology and blood-brain barrier immunohistochemically. ⋯ Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion caused an increase in oxidative stress and pathological lesions in the cerebrum. Biochanin A treatment restored the adverse effects of ischemia-reperfusion injury by restoring blood-brain barrier.

Investigation of the effect of Myricetin on Cisplatin-induced liver hepatotoxicity.
Cisplatin, a widely used anticancer agent, induces hepatotoxicity alongside organ damage. Understanding Cisplatin's toxicity mechanism and developing preventive measures are crucial. Our study explores Myricetin, a flavonoid, for its protective effects against Cisplatin-induced hepatotoxicity. ⋯ Cisplatin induces notable histopathological alterations in the liver. In this context, Myricetin exhibits the potential to alleviate Cisplatin-induced damage by modulating histological parameters and biochemical processes.

Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling pathway in the ocular cells of rat fetuses exposed to maternal saturated fat ingestion.
The aim of this study was to analyze possible alterations (morphological and inflammatory) in the ocular cells of fetuses from mothers with insulin resistance exposed to saturated fatty acids through the period of pregnancy. ⋯ The saturated fatty diet does not induce tissue changes or activate the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling pathway during eye development in the fetuses of mothers with insulin resistance.
