Predictors of recurrence in breast cancer patients with pathological partial response.
Patients with residual disease after neoadjuvant chemotherapy have a relative risk of developing recurrence. This study investigates the risk factors for recurrence in locally advanced breast cancer patients with residual disease and evaluates survival analysis. ⋯ Factors affecting disease-specific survival and disease-free survival were cNII-III and the number of involved lymph nodes, respectively. Patients with non-luminal, large residual tumors with in situ carcinoma, lymphovascular invasion, clinically positive axilla, and residual nodal involvement have a high relative risk for recurrence and may benefit from additional treatments.

Association of NK cell subsets and cytotoxicity with FCGR3A gene polymorphism in functional NK cell deficiency.
The purpose of this study was to assess the association between clinical, laboratory, and functional analyses and polymorphism in the FCGR3A gene in individuals with functional NK cell deficiency. ⋯ In this study, a group of pediatric patients with suspected functional NK cell deficiency were evaluated and the findings indicated that NK subsets, cytotoxicity results, and FCGR3A gene polymorphism were found to be correlated with the clinical features. We conclude that this kind of study might contribute to follow-up the patients in time.

Comparison of choroidal thickness and choroidal vascular index in normotensive dippers and nondippers.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the choroidal thickness and choroidal vascular index in normotensive individuals with dipping and nondipping patterns. ⋯ Our study showed that the choroidal vascular index was significantly lower in nondippers than in dippers. Nondipper individuals may be affected by vascular dysregulation, leading to alterations in the choroidal circulation.
