We present the results of 105 patients with life-threatening hemoptysis who were treated with the systemic arterial and/or pulmonary artery routes. We also describe the procedure techniques and the angiographic findings. We show the usefulness of the flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy and chest radiography to identify the bleeding zone previous to the procedure. ⋯ The treatment of life threatening hemoptysis by a percutaneous way has a high percentage of primary success with a very low incidence of complications. Pulmonary arterial route treatment is an alternative approach. Flexible fibrobronchoscopy is an important complement to this entity.

COVID-19 has had a rapid dissemination. Departing from China, the virus has traveled all around the world. With the use of accurate mathematical models, the global spread of the disease was anticipated. ⋯ This analysis informs on what seems to be a direct relationship between the initially unequal worldwide distribution of the disease and the density of the commercial air traffic. This comparison may also help to identify international distributional hubs of the disease out of China. The observation of this easily accessible information may contribute to the understanding of COVID-19 spill over and help health control policies to better focus on the spread of this and other aggressively spreading respiratory infectious diseases.

Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease confined to the geographical areas where its vectors Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are present. The transmission occurs mainly during the summer but it can extend to autumn months in warm climates. ⋯ On the other hand, the HIV is a retrovirus that causes disease by weakening the immune system, favoring infections by numerous opportunistic pathogens. We present the case of an untreated HIV patient who developed simultaneous infection with dengue and SARS-CoV-2 with favorable evolution.
