Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver cancer and the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Hepatic resection is the treatment of choice for non-cirrhotic patients, while in cirrhotic individuals, the choice depends on tumor stage and liver function. ⋯ Results tion 5837 Hepatic resection is an effective option for treating HCC in well-selected cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients, with encouraging results in terms of survival and disease control. Additionally, close surveillance for early recurrence detection and timely interventions is suggested.

Membranous nephropathy (MN) is the most common cause of primary nephrotic syndrome in adults (20-30%). Light microscopy shows thickening of glomerular basement membrane with appearance of spikes. These histological findings are not evident in early forms, in which case the granular deposition pattern of IgG and/or C3 in the basement membrane by immunofluorescence (IF) constitutes the diagnostic tool that allows to differentiate it from minimal change disease (MCD). Complement system plays a key role in the pathophysiology of MN. C4d is a degradation product and a marker of the complement system activation. C4d labelling by immunohistochemical (HI) technique can help in the differential diagnosis between both glomerulopathies NM and MCD when the material for IF is insufficient and light microscopy is normal. Our objective was to explore the discrimination power of C4d to differentiate between MN and MCD in renal biopsy material. ⋯ The results indicate that the marking of the renal biopsy with C4d is a useful tool for the differential diagnosis between NM and MCD.

Observational Study
[Tuberculous adenitis: Experience from an immediate assistance unit].
In the clinical medicine's immediate assistance unit, care is focused on outpatients with diseases that require early diagnosis, such as tuberculous adenitis (TA). The aim was to describe clinical features, complementary studies and procedures performed in patients with a diagnosis confirmed by bacteriology or pathological anatomy of TA. ⋯ TA predominates in the female sex in the studied group, coinciding with the local experience, the average age of presentation is 30 to 40 years, can affect any lymph node region, although the cervical location predominates, which coincides with the findings of this work. In our series, the diagnostic delay from the first consultation was shorter than reported in the literature.

Ewing sarcoma (ES) and primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) belong to the group of neoplasms called small round cell tumors. PNETs have been divided into central and peripheral. ES and peripheral PNETs arise from bones, soft tissues, or peripheral nerves. ⋯ He was referred to hepatobiliary surgery for surgical resection of the residual lesion. The patient rejected the proposed surgical procedure. Our objective is to highlight the clinical and histological diagnostic challenge of this entity that requires ruling out other clinical entities.

Triple negative breast cancer endophenotype (TNBC) is one of the least frequent and without therapeutic target; therefore we propose to study the correlation of PD-L1 immune checkpoint with the establishment of tumor microenvironment assessed by intratumoral stromal lymphocyte infiltration (TILS) and its importance in clinical practice. ⋯ The association between TNBC, TILS and PDL1 expression was established, which is important for the establishment of target therapies and the development of precision medicine.
