Intranasal clonidine vs. midazolam as premedication in children: a randomized controlled trial.
To compare anxiolysis produced by intranasal clonidine with intranasal midazolam as premedication in children undergoing surgery. ⋯ Though intranasal midazolam produced faster sedation, both the drugs produced satisfactory anxiolysis at 30 min.

Comparative Study
Point of care ultrasonography for position of tip of endotracheal tube in neonates.
To compare ultrasonography with chest radiograph to detect the level of endotracheal tube tip in intubated neonates. ⋯ Distance of endotracheal tip to arch of aorta as measured on ultrasonography is helpful in early identification of the level of endotracheal tube tip.

Rapid Response Systems have been introduced in the last decade to increase patient safety and decrease the rate of cardiorespiratory arrest on the hospital wards and readmission to the intensive care units. In this article we share our experience at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto on implementation and evolution of a pediatric rapid response team; the process, barriers, and ongoing challenges.

Effect of kangaroo mother care vs expressed breast milk administration on pain associated with removal of adhesive tape in very low birth weight neonates: a randomized controlled trial.
To compare the pain relief effect of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) and Expressed Breast Milk (EBM) on the pain associated with adhesive tape removal in very low birth weight (VLBW) neonates. ⋯ Removal of adhesive tape is a painful procedure for VLBW neonates. There was no difference between KMC and EBM in relieving pain associated with adhesive tape removal.
