Ectrodactyly ectodermal dysplasia-cleft lip/palate (EEC) syndrome, limb-mammary syndrome (LMS), and acro-dermato-ungual-lacrimal-tooth (ADULT) syndrome are caused by a TP63 gene disorder and have similar features. In the present article, a R319H mutation in TP63 is reported, and the correlation between genotype and phenotype is discussed based on the current case and previous literature. ⋯ The concept of ELA syndrome, which is the original concept of combining 3 syndromes (EEC syndrome/LMS/ADULT syndrome) into a unique clinical entity, can help clinicians to better understand TP63-related syndromes and improve the differential diagnosis of these syndromes.

ALL is the most common form of leukemia (75% to 80%), it is characterized by clonal expansion of the lymphoid blasts in bone marrow, blood, and other tissues, which can be divided into T lineage and B lineage. Although relapse of acute leukemia is common, a change of immunophenotype at relapse only occurs rarely. Some of these cases have been labeled "lineage switch". ⋯ This lineage switch from T-ALL to B-ALL is never reported beforemoreover, the RT-PCR data showed the patient expressed high level of T cell and B cell development transcription factors. Its early recognition can let doctor provides appropriate therapy to patient.

Vertebral compression fracture (VCF) is one of the most common diseases in spinal surgery. Traditional percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) under fluoroscopy is an effective method to treat vertebral compression fracture. However, there is still a risk of vascular nerve injury and infection caused by inaccurate or repeated puncture. Therefore, the purpose of this paper was to assess the accuracy of unilateral PVP guided by screw view model of navigation (SVMN) for VCF. ⋯ The SVMN guided percutaneous puncture needle insertion in PKP operation for VCF is an effective and safety technique. Besides, the SVMN has also been a contributor to reduce radiation doses and replace conventional fluoroscopy.

Many complications are associated with thoracic open decompression surgery, such as dural tears and neurological deficits. The clinical outcomes are also not satisfactory. Full-endoscopic decompression of the lumbar spinal canal has achieved satisfactory results for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. This surgery may be used for the treatment of thoracic ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF) under local anesthesia. The aim of our study is to introduce the surgical techniques used for full-endoscopic decompression for thoracic OLF and to evaluate its safety and efficacy. ⋯ Full-endoscopic decompression is an effective, safe surgical technique for thoracic OLF even the cases combined with dural ossification.

Correlation between self-perceived burden and self-management behavior in elderly stroke survivors: A longitudinal observational study.
The aim of this study was to assess the levels of self-perceived burden (SPB) and self-management behavior in elderly stroke survivors during the first 3 months after acute stroke, and to explore the correlation between them. A total of 203 consecutive hospitalized elderly patients diagnosed with stroke were recruited. Self-perceived Burden Scale and Stroke Self-management Scale in 1 month (T1) and 3 months (T2) post-stroke were assessed and compared. ⋯ Elderly stroke survivors experienced a medium level of SPB and self-management behavior in the first 3 months post-stroke. There is a positive relationship between reduced SPB and improved self-management behavior. Addressing the characteristics and correlations as well as development of targeted interventions for SPB decreasing is beneficial to improving self-management behavior for elderly survivors.
