Review Case Reports
Metastasis of pulmonary adenocarcinoma to right occipital parafalcine meningioma: A case report and literature review.
Tumor-to-tumor metastasis is a rare clinical phenomenon. Although meningioma is the most common intracranial recipient of cancer metastasis, only a few cases have been reported. We present a case of metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma into intracranial meningioma and review the published literature. ⋯ Tumor-to-meningioma metastasis is a rare but important phenomenon. According to previous reports, it is associated with rapid onset of symptoms and a poor prognosis. Histological examination is of great importance in diagnosis. The history and process of malignant carcinoma should be closely monitored.

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is an inflammatory disease of nasal mucosa caused by IgE mediated inflammatory mediators and various immune active cells and cytokines after exposure of specific individuals to allergens. In recent years, its prevalence rate has increased gradually. Therefore, we must pay attention to carry out early intervention. However, there are still some side effects in the current drug therapy of AR, and the recurrence of AR cannot be well controlled. Some Chinese herbs have anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, and have a better effect on the nasal symptoms of perennial and persistent rhinitis. The curative effect of allergic decoction on AR has been confirmed clinically. However, due to the lack of reliable evaluation means for its safety and effectiveness, it is necessary to carry out a systematic evaluation of allergic decoction in the treatment of AR, so as to lay a foundation for further research in the future. ⋯ September 12, 2020.osf.io/24w8n.(https://osf.io/24w8n).

COVID-19 has become a global epidemic, causing huge loss of life and property. Diabetes will affect the prognosis of COVID-19 patients in many ways. Both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia can affect oxidative stress and lead to the release of inflammatory mediators, leading to multiple organ damage and chronic inflammation. Here, we want to know whether hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia will adversely affect patients with diabetes and COVID-19 comorbidities. This has very important practical significance for the control of blood glucose in the treatment of diabetes combined with SARS-COV-2 infection. ⋯ This study will provide a high-quality synthesis of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia in patients with COVID-19 combined with diabetes mellitus. To provide evidence for clinical treatment of diabetes mellitus combined with COVID-19. And the results will be published at a peer-reviewed journal.INPLASY registration number INPLASY 202080096.

Observational Study
Pre and post-liver transplant outcome of cirrhotic patients with acute on chronic liver failure.
Acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a dynamic syndrome, but frequently associated with a high 1 month mortality rate. This is the first study applying the new European Association for the Study of the Liver- chronic liver failure consortium criteria to explore mortality on the waiting list (WL) and early after liver transplantation (LT) in a cohort of Romanian cirrhotic patients that improved or recovered after an episode of ACLF. To assess frequency and waitlist mortality for different grades of ACLF. ⋯ One and 12 months post-transplant survival of patients with or without ACLF was similar (P = .77). Occurrence of an ACLF episode while on the WL is associated with a significantly high mortality rate, as well as MELD score at inclusion on the WL, renal and liver failure, presence of hepatic encephalopathy. Overall patient short and long term survival after LT is similar to non-ACLF patients in good selected cases.

Coupled with the lowest level of social connectedness, South Korea has the highest suicide rate among the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development countries. A possible link between community and suicide is social capital imprinted in social connectedness. This study explores whether social capital is protective against suicide ideation in relation to the poverty level of communities, and whether the associations are specific to certain elements of social capital. ⋯ Low income was significantly associated with suicide ideation only in the poor communities, but depression and resilience were associated with suicide ideation both in the poor and non-poor communities. To increase the reliability of the results, established measures based on relevant literature were utilized, but measures on bridging social capital and social network might have relatively low reliability. As to protection against suicide ideation, the extent of reliance on social capital was higher in poor communities than in non-poor communities, in particular, the cognitive dimension was likely to activate in this regard.
