Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic progressive disease with unknown etiology and hidden onset, which causes major health problems worldwide. Cough is a typical manifestation of IPF, which is usually characterized by cough without phlegm, and seriously affects the quality of life (QOL) of patients. At present, the treatment of IPF is mainly focused on prolonging survival time and improving lung function, such as pirfenidone, nintedanib, and N-acetylcysteine (NAC), but lack of effective measures to improve the QOL. Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) is widely used in the clinical treatment of IPF. The adjuvant treatment of CHMs can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms of patients. Therefore, we designed this study to evaluate the role of CHMs in the treatment of cough in IPF. ⋯ 10.17605/OSF.IO/JKQYV.

Randomized Controlled Trial
A retrospective controlled study protocol of transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion compared with posterior lumbar interbody fusion for spondylolisthesis.
In the current literature, for adult lumbar spondylolisthesis, the direct comparison of clinical outcomes and perioperative complications between transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) and posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) is limited. Whether the therapeutic effect of TLIF is better than that of PLIF is still controversial. In this retrospective controlled study, our aim was to compare their clinical outcomes and radiological results of the above two stabilization approaches after 1-year follow-up period. ⋯ This protocol will provide a solid theoretical basis for exploring which technique is better in treatment of spondylolisthesis.

Meta Analysis
Efficacy of infliximab, cyclosporine and tacrolimus on ulcerative colitis: A meta-analysis.
Positioning infliximab (IFX), cyclosporine and tacrolimus (TAC) for treating ulcerative colitis (UC) is in great debate. ⋯ IFX treatment leads to a lower short-term, 1-year colectomy rate and a trend of lower 3-year colectomy rate in UC patients than cyclosporine while no significant difference is seen between IFX and TAC. TAC may be superior than cyclosporine with regard to efficacy based on indirect comparisons. Randomized trials with fixed protocol are warranted to identify the optimal medical strategy in patients with UC.

Case Reports
Diagnosis and treatment of advanced HER2-positive breast cancer in young pregnant female: A case report.
The incidence of pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) is increasing nowadays, and its diagnosis and treatment remain complicated due to the consideration of the fetus. The available data on PABC are primarily derived from case reports since there are ethical restrictions on conducting randomized clinical trials. In the present work, we reported a case of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive PABC and described the diagnosis and treatment for such type of breast cancer. ⋯ The methods for the diagnosis and treatment of PABC that result in teratogenesis should be avoided to protect the fetus. Mammogram and chest X-ray were safe approaches for the fetus. Moreover, chemotherapy-based on pirarubicin in combination with cyclophosphamide had no risk to the fetus.

Internet-based rehabilitation can ease the progression of chronic diseases. There had been studies on internet-based rehabilitation of knee osteoarthritis (OA), but them were conducted at home and ignored the potential benefits in the community setting. This study will explore the feasibility and effectiveness of internet-based rehabilitation accompanies wearable devices in the community setting for the patients with knee OA. ⋯ The internet-based rehabilitation program and community-based interventions is feasible and efficacy to ameliorate the osteoarthritic pain and promote the physical function and quality of life for the patients with knee OA in the community setting.
