This study was to investigate clinical features and prognosis of duplex primary malignant neoplasms involving chronic myeloid leukemia (CML-DPMNs). Clinical data of thirteen CML-DPMN patients who were admitted to the First Hospital of Jilin University from May 2008 to December 2018 were collected and retrospectively analyzed. Female patients (9/13) were predominant in this cohort study. ⋯ The median overall survival time of these thirteen patients with CML-DPMNs was not reached. In conclusion, female patients are more likely to suffer from the CML-DPMNs in the present article. Overall survival time of patients with DPMNs involving CML could be promising if timely and effective treatment therapy is adopted.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), is a common endocrine disorder in women characterized by increased androgen levels, ovulatory dysfunction, and polycystic ovaries. Western medicine is widely used for the treatment of PCOS, but patient satisfaction is low, largely due to its associated gastrointestinal symptoms of nausea and diarrhea. Guizhi Fuling Wan (GFW) is a traditional Chinese medicine used to remove blood stasis and dissipate phlegm for treating gynecological diseases that was invented by Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han dynasty. In recent years, GFW has been widely used to treat patients with PCOS. This study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of GFW in the treatment of PCOS through a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ CRD42020192405.

Bilious pleuritis due to hepatic microwave ablation: Two illustrative cases and literature review.
Ultrasound guided percutaneous thermal ablation has been well acknowledged in treating hepatic malignancy. Although thermal ablation is safe for the treatment, it may induce some lethal complications such as diaphragmatic injury, bile-stained pleural fistula, and bilious pleuritis. We presented 2 cancer patients in hepatic diaphragmatic dome showed diaphragmatic injury, bile-stained pleural fistula, and bilious pleuritis after microwave ablation (MVA). ⋯ Only 2 cases underwent thorascopic surgery. After chest drainage and anti-infection, their symptoms were attenuated to some extent. Radiofrequency or MVA may induce pleural effusion, and special attention should be paid to the diaphragmatic injury induced by thermal ablation.

Observational Study
Effect of interval between food intake and drug administration at fasting condition on the plasma concentrations of first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs in Chinese population.
We aimed to investigate the effect of interval between food intake and drug administration at fasting condition on the plasma concentrations of first-line anti- tuberculosis (TB) drugs in Chinese population. Newly diagnosed TB patients administered the anti-TB drugs under fasting conditions orally, and then had prepared breakfast at 30 minutes and 120 min after dosing, respectively. Blood sampling was also performed 120 minutes after dosing for the detection of Cmax purpose. ⋯ The Cmaxs of INH were 0.9 ± 0.4 μg/ml for rapid acetylator, which was significantly lower than those of intermediate (1.4 ± 1.0 μg/mL), and slow acetylator (2.5 ± 1.0 μg/mL), respectively (P < .01). In conclusion, our data demonstrate that early food intake at 30 minutes after drug administration had no significant influence on the plasma concentrations. In addition, a high proportion of patients receiving first-line anti-TB regimen fail to achieve the expected plasma drug ranges of INH and EMB (P > .05).

Meta Analysis
Auricular acupuncture for migraine: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Migraines are caused by neurological and vascular dysfunction, with a side or both sides of the head pain recurrent attack, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, light, and sound allergy as the characteristics, is the clinical common disease, frequently occurring disease. The incidence of migraine is 8.4% to 28% worldwide (highest in Germany), and the lifetime incidence is about 14.0%. About 18.2% for women and 6.5% for men, About 23 percent of families have at least one migraine sufferer. It can occur at any age, and more than half of patients have headaches that interfere with work or school, while nearly a third may miss work or school because of the headache. Therefore, how to relief headache immediately and reduce the impact on life and work, becomes the basic clinical appeal of many patients. Analgesics are the main treatment for migraine in western medicine, many patients, who worried about the side effects of drugs, often take them only when the pain is unbearable, which can only treat the symptoms rather than the root causes. Auricular acupuncture as a form of acupuncture therapy which is proved to be effective in RCTs and very suitable for patients, has been used in patients who suffer from migraine for a long time, therefore a systematic review is necessary to provide available evidence for further study. ⋯ October 2, 2020 osf.io/q6arf.
