This study aims to assess the survival status of patients with Primary gallbladder cancer (PGC) and analyze the prognosis factors to facilitate the exploration of the prevention and therapeutic strategies of PGC. Data from 2433 PGC patients collected from 2010 to 2015 were extracted from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. The SEER*Stat, SPSS 23.0 and GraphPad Prism 8 were used for statistical analyses. ⋯ The 5-year survival rate of PGC patients in pN2 stage dropped to 0% and the 5-year survival rate for PGC patients with distant metastasis was only 2.7%. Age, tumor size, grade, pT stage, pM stage were risk factors for prognosis, surgery or not and radiation or not were protective factors for prognosis. Survival analysis of PGC patients based on the SEER database have provided an opportunity for understanding PGC prognosis and the basis for the exploration of viable PGC prevention and therapeutic strategies.

Double trapezia sign: A new radiologic sign of scaphoid nonunion.
In scaphoid nonunion, pseudarthrosis and sclerotic change occur at the nonunion site. These changes make a distal fragment look like a trapezium on plain radiographs and we called this phenomenon the double trapezia sign. The purpose of this study was to estimate the diagnostic reliability of the double trapezia sign and its clinical and prognostic implications for the scaphoid nonunion. ⋯ In conclusion, the double trapezia sign is a valuable radiographic sign of scaphoid nonunion. The double trapezia sign is easily identifiable on plain radiographs and has excellent intra- and interobserver reliabilities. The positive double trapezia sign implies mid-waist nonunion, long duration of nonunion, less possibility of AVN, and favorable postoperative prognosis.

Late-onset anastomotic leak following sweet esophagectomy: A case report and review of the literature.
Late-onset anastomotic leak (AL) is an uncommon but potentially lethal complication after esophagectomy. ⋯ Late-onset AL should be kept in mind when the patient complained of chest distress and fever during the follow up after esophagectomy. In addition, naso-leakage extraluminal drainage could be considered for the treatment of AL. Further trials for better evidence are warranted.

Delivery mode-associated gut microbiota in the first 3 months of life in a country with high obesity rates: A descriptive study.
Delivery methods during childbirth and their related gut microbiota profiles have important impacts on health later in life, they can contribute to the development of diseases such as obesity, whose highest prevalence rate is found among the Mexican child population. Coincidentally, Mexico has one of the highest global average annual rate increase in cesarean births (C-section). Since Mexico leads the world in childhood obesity, studying the relationship between childbirth delivery methods and gut microbiota profiles in this vulnerable population may be used to identify early risk factors for obesity in other developed and developing countries. ⋯ Feces from infants born by C-section had low levels of Bacteroidetes, high levels of Firmicutes, especially Clostridium and Enterococcus, and a strikingly high ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes (F:B). Profiles enriched in Bacteroidetes and low F:B ratios, were strongly associated with vaginal delivery. The profile of gut microbiota associated with feces from Mexican infants born by C-section, may be added to the list of boosting factors for the worrying obesity epidemic in Mexico.

Treatment of chronic neuropathic pain in the head and face regions presents a challenge for pain specialists due to the lack of reliable medical and surgical approaches. ⋯ This is the first report suggesting the usefulness of HFSCS at the CMJ in neuropathic pain due to trigeminal nerve neuropathy non-responsive to tonic SCS and CMM.
