Mixed gonadal dysgenesis is a rare disorder of sex development, and typically contains a mosaic 45,X/46,XY karyotype. ⋯ We reported a rare case of a karyotype 45,X/46,XY in blood cells and 45,X/47, XYY/46,XY in testicular tissue. In vitro fertilization and embryo transfer technology can help to achieve pregnancy.

Long non-coding RNA-based signatures to improve prognostic prediction of breast cancer.
Breast cancer (BC) is a disease of high mortality rate because of high malignant, while early diagnosis and personal management may make a better prognosis possible. This study aimed to establish and validate lncRNAs signatures to improve the prognostic prediction for BC. RNA sequencing data along with the corresponding clinical information of patients with BC were gained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). ⋯ Significant differences were found for OS and RFS between 2 groups in the 3 sets. The time-dependent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves analysis demonstrated that our lncRNAs signatures had better predictive capacities of survival and recurrence for BC patients as well as enhancing the predictive ability of the tumor node metastasis (TNM) stage system. These results indicate that the 2 lncRNAs signatures with the potential to be biomarkers to predict the prognosis of BC for OS and RFS.

To identify the 100 most cited research articles on cervical cancer radiotherapy. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report and analysis of the most cited articles on cervical cancer radiotherapy. This bibliographic study presents the history of technological development in external radiation therapy and brachytherapy. Brachytherapy is an indispensable part of radiotherapy for cervical cancer. The International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics is the journal with the most publications related to cervical cancer radiotherapy.

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation status related to the treatment approach for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of peripheral blood circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in EGFR mutated advanced NSCLC patients. ⋯ ctDNA biopsy has high specificity and diagnostic accuracy in detection of EGFR mutation in advanced NSCLC patients. When the ctDNA gene test result is negative, we should fully consider the risk of missed diagnosis, and further tissue biopsy is still needed to undertake.

Primary ovarian carcinoid: Two cases report and review of literature.
Carcinoid tumor is one of the most frequent neuroendocrine tumors, and the majority of which are usually observed in the lungs and gastrointestinal tract. The prevalence of ovarian carcinoids is merely 0.1% in ovarian neoplasms and 1% in carcinoid tumors. We described 2 rare cases in our hospital of primary ovarian carcinoid (POC), causing carcinoid syndrome (CS) of the diarrhea, constipation, and carcinoid heart disease. Besides, we also reviewed related literatures about its origin, variant, clinical manifestation, diagnosis methods, pathological features, treatment strategies and prognosis from 2009 to 2019. ⋯ POC is an extraordinarily rare disease, and commonly with a satisfactory outcome. TAH+BSO with or without postoperative chemotherapy has been considered as an acceptable treatment strategy for POC patients.
