Magnetic foreign bodies ingestion is a special cause for attending emergency department. Here, we aim to analyze the characteristics and treatments of children who ingested magnetic foreign bodies (Buckyballs). Data were collected from children who ingested Buckyballs between February 2017 and October 2019. ⋯ Gastroscopy is recommended when Buckyballs are in the stomach or esophagus. In asymptomatic patients, conservative treatment can be considered for 4 to 6 days. Patients failing conservative treatment, or those who are symptomatic should undergo emergency surgery.

Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs) are increasing in incidence. Clinicians urgently need a method that can effectively predict the prognosis of GEP-NENs. A total of 14770 GEP-NENs patients with pathologically confirmed between 1975 and 2016 were obtained from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database. ⋯ Discrimination was also superior to that of TNM classification for the validation cohort (C-index: 0.823 vs 0.738). The calibrated nomogram predicted 3- and 5-years survival rate that closely corresponded to the actual survival rate. This study developed and validated a prognostic nomogram applied to patients with GEP-NENs, which may help clinicians make reasonable prognostic judgments and treatment plans to a certain extent.

CO2 artificial pneumothorax on coagulation and fibrinolysis during thoracoscopic esophagectomy.
CO2 artificial pneumothorax creates a sufficient operative field for thoracoscopic esophagectomy. However, it has potential complications and continuous CO2 insufflation may impede coagulation and fibrinolysis. We sought to compare the effects of CO2 artificial pneumothorax on perioperative coagulation and fibrinolysis during thoracoscopic esophagectomy. ⋯ CO2 artificial pneumothorax during thoracoscopic esophagectomy had a substantial impact on coagulation and fibrinolysis, inducing significant derangements in pH and PaCO2.

Case Reports
Uterine wall rupture in a primigravid patient with oligohydramnios as the first manifestation: A case report.
Spontaneous uterine rupture during pregnancy, occurring most often during labor in the context of a scarred uterus, is a serious obstetric complication. Perhaps even more serious because of its extreme rarity, spontaneous uterine rupture in a primigravid patient with an unscarred gravid uterus would be essentially unexpected. Clinical manifestations of unscarred uterine ruptures are nonspecific and can be confusing, making a correct early diagnosis very difficult. ⋯ An increased awareness of the rare but real possibility of spontaneous uterine rupture in a primigravid patient with no prior uterine scarring helped to establish an earlier diagnosis. Obstetricians should consider this possibility in pregnant females, even in the absence of risk factors and in early gestational age, when sudden unexplained clinical manifestations, such as acute oligohydramnios, are encountered.
