Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection is a global public health problem. After infection, patients experience a natural course from chronic hepatitis to cirrhosis and even Hepatitis B associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HBV-HCC). With the multi-omics research, many differentially expressed genes from chronic hepatitis to HCC stages have been discovered. All these provide important clues for new biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The purpose of this study is to explore the differential gene expression of HBV and HBV-related liver cancer, and analyze their enrichments and significance of related pathways. ⋯ CYP26A1, FAM110C, SMYD3 and ZG16 are unique genes to differentiate HBV infection and HBV-related HCC, and expected to be novel targets for HBV-related HCC occurrence and prognostic judgement.

Multidimensional analyses of the effect of exercise on women with depression: A meta-analysis.
The proportion of women is higher than men in depression. This is mainly due to women's physiological regulation is different from men, especially in puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, among others. Therefore, treating depressive women is still a health challenge. Besides, recent studies of exercise therapy have a more outstanding performance in treating depression, especially in contrast to drug therapy and psychotherapy. Its main advantages are convenience, quickness, no side effects, real-time, and long-term effectiveness. ⋯ Exercise can significantly improve depressive symptoms in women.

With the declining use of the pulmonary artery catheter (PAC), transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) has become an appealing alternative to obtain pulmonary artery pressure non-invasively using the simplified Bernoulli equation. The validation of this method in the perioperative setting has been scarce with no clear recommendations about which view is the most accurate to estimate right ventricular systolic pressure (RVSP). Therefore, we performed a prospective, observer-blinded, diagnostic test accuracy study to assess the difference in systolic pulmonary artery pressure (sysPAP) measuring both, invasively sysPAP and estimated RVSP with TEE in 3 different views: the mid-esophageal (ME) 4Chamber, the ME right ventricular (RV) inflow-outflow and the ME modified bicaval view. ⋯ Good Doppler signals were available in 35% and 46% in these views, and in 20% in the ME 4 chamber view. The estimation of the sysPAP by TEE cannot be considered reliable in the clinical perioperative setting. Only measurements that provide a full Doppler envelope show sufficient precision to provide accurate estimations.

Breast cancer is the leading type of cancer among women worldwide, and a high number of breast cancer patients are suffering from psychological and cognitive disorders. This cross-sectional study used resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) and clinical neuropsychological tests to evaluate the possible underlying mechanisms. We enrolled 32 breast cancer patients without chemotherapy (BC), 32 breast cancer patients within 6 to 12 months after the completion of chemotherapy (BC_CTx) and 46 healthy controls. ⋯ Furthermore, we found the DAN alteration was correlated with neuropsychological impairment. The majority of potential underlying mechanisms of DAN alteration in BC patients may due to insufficient frontoparietal lobe neural activity to drive DAN and may be related to the effects of neuropsychological distress. Further longitudinal studies with comprehensive images and neuropsychological tests correlations are recommended.

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is an undesirable complication in patients undergoing general anesthesia. Combination therapy via different mechanisms of action for antiemetic prophylaxis has been warranted for effective treatment of PONV. This study was designed to compare the prophylactic antiemetic effect between midazolam combined with palonosetron (group MP) and palonosetron alone (group P) after laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgeries. ⋯ In the prevention of PONV, midazolam combined with palonosetron, administered during induction of anesthesia was more effective as compared to palonosetron alone.
