Pyroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death involved in all stages of tumorigenesis. Herein, a comprehensive study was conducted to evaluate the prognostic significance of pyroptosis-related lncRNAs in bladder cancer. Consensus clustering analysis was performed to identify the subclusters of bladder cancer. ⋯ The expression of most checkpoints was higher in bladder cancer patients with high-risk score. A novel pyroptosis-related lncRNA signature was identified with prognostic value for bladder cancer patients. Pyroptosis-related lncRNAs have a potential role in cancer immunology and may serve as prognostic or therapeutic targets in bladder cancer.

A member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily (DHRS1, SDR19C1) is a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily and a potential predictor of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the role of DHRS1 in HCC immunity remains unclear. We systematically analyzed the association between DHRS1 and HCC immunity with transcriptional and clinical data from the Tumor Immune Estimation Resource, an integrated repository portal for tumor immune system interactions, and cBioPortal databases. ⋯ Finally, a prognostic nomogram and calibration curve were created. The DHRS1 gene may exert an impact on HCC immunity. We posit that the nominated immune signature based on DHRS1-associated immunomodulators could constitute a promising prognostic biomarker in HCC.

Claustrophobia is a form of phobic anxiety disorder characterized by panic attacks. Anesthesia in patients with claustrophobia poses a challenge because these patients reject all treatments in an enclosed space. When such patients are treated in uncomfortably enclosed environments, it can cause mental distress and even sudden psychiatric death. ⋯ This case report shows that patients with claustrophobia need to be provided a comfortable environment for induction and awakening from anesthesia.

Giant cell tumor of soft tissue (GCT-ST) is a rare primary soft tissue tumor. GCT-ST mainly occurs in the trunk and extremities. There is no standard treatment for GCT-ST. This paper reports a rare case of primary uterine GCT-ST. ⋯ GCT-ST is generally benign but has unpredictable behavior. A massive recurrence with wide invasion is possible after subtotal resection.

There is an urgent need for generalized training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, starting with secondary education. Validated instruments for assessing the efficacy of such interventions are not yet available. This study aimed to validate an evaluation questionnaire of a CPR training program for high school students, to analyze the levels of readability, difficulty, reliability, and content validity, as well as the fit the purpose for which they were designed, the trait they are intended to measure. ⋯ The level of difficulty of the items and the level of ability of the respondents is in line with the educational level of the students. The questionnaire did not produce a gender bias in response probability. The questionnaire is easily understandable and can discriminate between different levels of ability without differential gender bias, and its reliability is outstanding, as it exceeds the minimum criteria.
