Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors with high mortality worldwide, which is characterized by aggressive growth and metastasis. However, the relationship between TOP2A and CDC6 and HCC remains unclear. GSE121248 and GSE101728 profiles for liver cancer were downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database generated using GPL21047and GPL570. ⋯ The construction and analysis of protein-protein interaction network obtained 10 core genes (TOP2A, CDK1, ASPM, RACGAP1, ZWINT, CDC6, AURKA, NCAPG, BUB1B, CCNB1), and found that these core genes were highly expressed in tumor tissues and low in normal tissues. Comparative toxicogenomics database analysis showed that 10 genes (TOP2A, CDK1, ASPM, RACGAP1, ZWINT, CDC6, AURKA, NCAPG, BUB1B, CCNB1) were related to necrosis, inflammation, HCC, liver cirrhosis, and adenoid cystic carcinoma. TOP2A and CDC6 are highly expressed in liver cancer, which may become molecular targets for early diagnosis and precise treatment.

This study aimed to explore the historical research progress on benign prostatic hyperplasia from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine theory and the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with Qian Lie Xing Fang (QLXF) via the warming and tonifying of kidney yang, promotion of blood circulation, and clearing of meridians. First, network pharmacology analysis was used to screen and identify possible pathways for BPH treatment with QLXF. Subsequently, molecular docking analysis helped explore the mechanism of action by which the components of QLXF affected androgen receptor (AR) and type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitor (PDE-5) levels. ⋯ Conducting molecular docking studies to investigate the interaction of active components from QLXF with AR and PDE-5, it was found that MOL002260 may possess the potential to inhibit PDE-5 activity, while MOL010578 may exhibit the capability to inhibit AR activity. QLXF is closely associated with various biological processes and KEGG signaling pathways related to BPH. The active ingredients of QLXF were investigated for their interactions with AR and PDE-5, with a primary focus on the small molecules MOL002260 and MOL010578.

To investigate whether the initial beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) levels and their rate of increase differ after single fresh and frozen blastocyst transfers, and whether these values effectively predict pregnancy outcomes. This retrospective cohort study was conducted at the Sisli Memorial Hospital, assisted reproductive technology, and Reproductive Genetics Center in Istanbul, Turkey, between January 2016 and January 2022. Three thousand two hundred thirty-eight single blastocyst transfers with positive pregnancy test results were evaluated. ⋯ Initial β-hCG levels and 2-day increases are effective parameters for diagnosing pregnancy in fresh and FET cycles. The initial β-hCG level was significantly higher in the FET cycles than in the fresh cycles. Predicting outcomes earlier helps clinicians to manage and follow high-risk pregnancies.

We aimed to describe variations of dome impaction fractures and their characteristics using a new classification system, to explore the relationship between dome impaction and the gull sign. The present study was a retrospective descriptive study. All 104 cases of acetabular fracture that were treated in our institution from 2013 to 2022 were enrolled. ⋯ Twelve of fifteen cases (80.0%) with the gull sign had dome impaction fractures of the SM type. We found a variety of patterns of dome impaction fracture. Surgeons should be aware of atypical dome impactions not showing the gull sign.

Preeclampsia (PE) is one of the most common hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. It is a dangerous condition with a high mortality rate in mothers and fetuses and is associated with a lack of early diagnosis and effective treatment. While the etiology of the disease is complex and obscure, it is now clear that the placenta is central to disease progression. ⋯ Moreover, we identified possible functions and pathways associated with PE, including angiogenesis, cell proliferation, migration and invasion, and the coagulation-fibrinolysis balance. Eventually, we proposed hsa-miR-675-5p, hsa-miR-3614-5p, and hsa-miR-615-5p as potential regulators of the pathogenesis of PE, and constructed a miRNA-target gene network. Our study identifies possible candidate biomarkers for the diagnosis of PE, and introduces a new direction for further understanding the pathogenesis of PE.
