Bone malignancies (BM), including osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, and chordoma, are characterized by high rates of recurrence and mortality, despite the availability of diverse treatment approaches. Immunotherapy has gained increasing importance in cancer treatment. However, there is a lack of comprehensive studies that utilize bibliometric analysis to explore immunotherapy for BM. ⋯ A better understanding of the current status and prospects of immunotherapy for BM is crucial for the rationale selection of appropriate BM patients for immunotherapy. This study is expected to help clinical physicians and researchers gain comprehensive insights into the developmental trends of BM immunotherapy, providing practical guidance for the application of immunotherapy in BM patients.

To observe the effects of early gastroscopy examination on cardiovascular event-related indicators such as heart rate (HR), blood pressure, and electrocardiogram (ECG) in elderly patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. ⋯ Early gastroscopy examination in elderly patients with gastrointestinal bleeding did not result in severe cardiovascular adverse events and was relatively safe. However, special attention should be given to the occurrence of cardiac arrhythmias.

The mechanism of liver X receptor in cancer has been gradually revealed in recent years. This study is committed to analyzing the current research status of the mechanism of liver × receptor in cancer progression by using bibliometric methods and to explore the development trend of liver × receptor related research in the future, in order to provide some reference for further exploration in this field. ⋯ Using bibliometric methods to reveal the current status of LXR and cancer mechanisms, and making predictions of possible future hotspots based on the analysis of the current situation, the translation of LXR anti-cancer research to clinical applications, the impact on the tumor microenvironment as a whole and more immune pathways, and the formation of a systematic cognition of the effects of more cancer cell lines and oncogenic signaling crosstalk, which is a possible direction for future research.

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) could have a variable degree of adverse effects on pregnancy outcomes for both pregnant women and newborns. The purpose of the study was to explore the effect of GDM on pregnancy outcomes in advanced primiparous women. A total of 1076 advanced primiparous women were included between January 2020 and December 2022. ⋯ Among the GDM group, the women with poor glycaemic control showed a significantly higher incidence rate of polyhydramnios, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, cesarean delivery, premature birth, low-birth weight, macrosomia, and neonatal intensive care unit admission was significant than the women with good glycaemic control (all P < .05). GDM was an independent risk factor for polyhydramnios in advanced primiparous women. At the same time, good glycaemic control in diabetics advanced primiparous women could reduce adverse pregnancy outcomes.

The overexpression of Flap endonuclease 1 (FEN1) has been implicated in drug resistance and prognosis across various cancer types. However, the precise role of FEN1 in colon cancer remains to be fully elucidated. In this study, we employed comprehensive datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas, Gene Expression Omnibus, and Human Protein Atlas to examine FEN1 expression and assess its correlation with clinical pathology and prognosis in colon cancer. ⋯ Finally, we constructed a risk signature consisting of 5 genes, which, when combined with drug treatment and pathological staging, significantly improved the prediction of colon cancer prognosis. This study offers novel insights into the interplay among FEN1 expression levels, colon cancer metastatic potential, and sensitivity to therapeutic agents. Furthermore, we successfully developed a multi-gene prognostic risk signature derived from FEN1.
