To investigate the clinical efficacy of fire acupuncture (FA) on plaque psoriasis (PP), exploring its suitable syndrome types, in order to achieve better therapeutic effects, accelerate the possibility of psoriasis skin lesion recovery, and provide assistance for clinical treatment. ⋯ FA can significantly control the development of lesions, reduce the symptoms of PP lesions and pruritus, and help prevent psoriasis recurrence.

To analyze the factors associated with the overall patient condition and explore the clinical value of the Patient Global Assessment (PGA) index for assessing the disease state in patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). This cross-sectional study used a standardized questionnaire to record the basic information of patients with AS. The collected data included the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score (ASDAS)-C-reactive protein (CRP), ASDAS-erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), PGA, and other clinical indicators. ⋯ The area under the ROC curve (AUC) for disease activity based on the ASDAS-CRP was 0.743 (P < .01) with a PGA cutoff value of 1.38; the AUC for disease activity based on the BASDAI was 0.715 (P < .01) with a PGA cutoff value of 1.63. The PGA was significantly correlated with patient-reported outcomes, disease activity, function, and psychological status, and may indicate the level of inflammation in patients with AS. A PGA of around 1.5 indicates disease activity.

Inflammatory fibroid polyp (IFP), also known as Vanek tumor, is a rare, benign gastrointestinal lesion characterized by its inflammatory and fibroid histological features. IFP is often discovered incidentally during endoscopic examinations. It is exceedingly rare for an IFP to prolapse into the duodenum and results in incomplete obstruction of the pylorus. ⋯ While IFPs have traditionally been managed surgically, ESD demonstrates promising treatment outcomes, avoiding the need for surgical distal gastrectomy, and emerges as a safe and effective treatment option.

Severe fibromyalgia alleviated by the unique muscle relaxation method of applying low force: A case report.
Fibromyalgia (FM) is characterized by idiopathic persistent chronic pain in the ligaments or musculoskeletal system, and more than half of the patients with FM might have migraine headaches. Direct musculoskeletal intervention could be a non-pharmacological management to relieve symptoms. However, patients with severe FM often have intense pain from only a soft touch, thereby rendering musculoskeletal intervention challenging. ⋯ If Kanshoho is carefully applied in a state of hospitalization under surveillance by an experienced physician, it could be a promising muscle relaxation method. Relaxing the trapezius muscle and reducing its intramuscular pressure might be key in treating patients with severe FM. However, it needs elucidation of its mechanism.

The bleeding of Dieulafoy lesion predominantly involves the proximal stomach and leads to severe gastrointestinal bleeding. However, these lesions have also been reported in the whole gastrointestinal tract. Bleeding of Dieulafoy lesions at the anastomosis was seldomly reported and was very easy to be ignored clinically. ⋯ As far as we know, there is no reported case of lower gastrointestinal bleeding caused by Dieulafoy lesion at the colorectal anastomosis, OTSC is a safe and effective rescue treatment for Dieulafoy lesions.
