Retrospective. ⋯ The mechanical stability offered by the cement-based anterior reconstruction is maintained during the lifespan of patients operated for the spinal metastasis. Satisfying functional and radiological outcomes observed at the last follow-up show that this lasting, cost sparing, and relatively simple reconstruction technique, is a valid alternative for the costly and more complicated cage-based reconstruction.

We conducted a retrospective review of data from patients who underwent surgical treatment for lumbosacral radiculopathy. ⋯ The FTT is a valuable tool for the early detection of lower limb motor dysfunction in lumbosacral radiculopathy, particularly for L5 nerve root impairment, where it aids in timely surgical intervention and may improve postoperative outcomes and quality of life.

Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ Our study suggests that patients with lower preoperative mental health scores (MCS < 45.6) were independently more likely to experience more renal complications and longer length of stay after primary lumbar fusion. Additionally, higher MCS scores may correlate with better postoperative mobility and daily activity scores. Nevertheless, long-term outcomes are not significantly different between patients of better or worse preoperative mental health.
