A single-center retrospective cohort study. ⋯ A simple predictive scoring system was developed for bone union after conservative treatment of lumbar spondylolysis, based on the stage of the lesion on the main and contralateral sides. The predicted bone union rate was approximately 90% for a total score of 0-1 and ≤30% for a score of 3-4. This system demonstrated good internal validity, suggesting its potential as a useful tool in clinical decision making for the management of spondylolysis.

Retrospective study. ⋯ The SVA tended to experience less correction postoperatively, with evidence of further deterioration during follow-up in group D than in group CB. This suboptimal correction of SVA may contribute to the inferior clinical outcomes encountered in group D relative to group CB. Therefore, we recommend correction of PI-LL as close as possible to the lower limit of the suggested PI-LL target range in patients with evidence of preoperative decompensation.

Critical Analysis of Radiographic and Patient Reported Outcomes Following Anterior/Posterior Staged vs. Same Day Surgery in Patients Undergoing Identical Corrective Surgery for Adult Spinal Deformity.
A retrospective cohort study of a prospectively collected multicenter adult spinal deformity (ASD) database. ⋯ This investigation is among the first to compare multicenter staged and same-day surgery A/P ASD patients fused to ilium using propensity matching. Staged procedures resulted in significant improvement radiographically, reduced intensive care unit admissions, and superior patient-reported outcomes compared with same-day procedures. An interval of at least 3 days between staged procedures is associated with superior outcomes in terms of Global Alignment and Proportion score proportionality.
