Breathlessness, anxiety, depression and function - the BAD-F study: a cross-sectional, population prevalence study in adults.
Breathlessness is associated with depression, but its relationship to anxiety or impaired function is less clear. ⋯ Clinically important breathlessness (mMRC ≥2) was associated with depression, anxiety, and coexisting anxiety/depression. Poorer function that is associated with psychological morbidity in the general population requires further research.

Traumatic Events Among Cancer Patients that Lead to Compassion Fatigue in Nurses: A Qualitative Study.
Cancer care nurses are frequently exposed to patients' traumatic experiences and are at high risk of compassion fatigue. ⋯ This study identified the components and frequencies of traumatic events among patients with cancer that lead to the onset of nurse compassion fatigue. Such information will aid in understanding the triggers of compassion fatigue, allowing for possible preparation to reduce the risk of this occupational hazard.
