Association between fatigue and depressive symptoms in persons with post-COVID-19 condition: a post hoc analysis.
Post-COVID-19 Condition (PCC) is a prevalent, persistent and debilitating phenomenon occurring three or more months after resolution of acute COVID-19 infection. Fatigue and depressive symptoms are commonly reported in PCC. We aimed to further characterize PCC by assessing the relationship between fatigue and depressive symptom severity in adults with PCC. ⋯ In our sample, baseline measures of fatigue and depressive symptoms are correlated in persons living with PCC. Individuals presenting with PCC and fatigue should be screened for the presence and severity of depressive symptoms. Guideline-concordant care should be prescribed for individuals experiencing clinically significant depressive symptoms. Fatigue and depressive symptom severity scores were not pre-specified as primary objectives of the study. Multiple confounding factors (i.e. disturbance in sleep, anthropometrics and cognitive impairment) were not collected nor adjusted for in the analysis herein.

A prospective cohort study of chronic postsurgical pain after ambulatory surgeries.
The incidence and factors associated with chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP) after ambulatory surgeries have not been well studied. Our primary objective was to determine the incidence of CPSP and secondary objectives included assessment of intensity of CPSP, incidence of moderate-to-severe CPSP, and exploration of factors associated with CPSP. ⋯ Nearly one in five patients develop CPSP after ambulatory surgeries with the majority of them having moderate-to-severe pain. Considering that acute pain after discharge is associated with CPSP and that there are no formal care pathways to address this need, studies need to focus on evaluating feasible strategies to provide continuing care.

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of nivolumab in the second-line (2L) or later-line (LL) treatment of patients with locally advanced/metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in real-life setting in Türkiye. ⋯ Nivolumab is safe and effective in the 2L or 3L/LL treatment of locally advanced/metastatic NSCLC and associated with acceptable AEs in real-life setting.

This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of FOLFIRI and paclitaxel in patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC) who were previously treated with first-line modified docetaxel, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil (mDCF), or 5-fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, docetaxel (FLOT). ⋯ Beyond progression with docetaxel-based triplet chemotherapy, FOLFIRI may be preferred as a second-line treatment over paclitaxel due to its longer mPFS and mOS.

In 2019, the United States Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) updated their meningococcal serogroup B (MenB) vaccination recommendation for 16-23-year-olds from individual to shared clinical decision-making (SCDM). SCDM recommendations are individually based and informed by a decision process between patients and healthcare providers (HCPs). MenB vaccination among 16-23-year-olds remains low. We examined recorded conversations in which MenB vaccine-related discussions between HCPs and patients/caregivers took place, and how these interactions changed following the updated SCDM recommendation. ⋯ MenB vaccination discussions were brief, and the degree of shared decision-making was low. Targeted education of HCPs and patients/caregivers may improve MenB vaccination awareness, SCDM implementation, and vaccine uptake.
