Clinical characteristics and outcomes of pregnant women with COVID-19 and the risk of vertical transmission: a systematic review.
This systematic review summarizes the clinical features and maternal-infant outcomes of 230 pregnant women (154 patients gave birth) infected with COVID-19 and their 156 infants, including the possibility and evidence of vertical transmission. ⋯ Most pregnant patients were mildly ill. The mortality of pregnant women with COVID-19 was lower than that of overall COVID-19 patients. Cesarean section was more common than vaginal delivery for pregnant women with COVID-19. Premature delivery was the main adverse event for newborns. The vertical transmission rate calculated by SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid tests was 3.91%. Serum antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 should be tested more frequently, and multiple samples should be included in pathogenic testing.

Pelvic floor dysfunction distress is correlated with quality of life, but not with muscle function.
To analyze the relationship between the symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) and quality of life (QoL), as well as the function of the pelvic floor muscle (PFM) in women with urinary incontinence (UI). ⋯ Greater discomfort due to PFD symptoms were correlated with a worse QoL. However, the relationship between symptoms and PFM function was not significant. These results reinforce the need to assess the aspects of activity and participation which compose functionality and QoL, and not only the PFM functions in women with UI.

The role of ultrasound in prediction of intra-operative blood loss in cases of placenta accreta spectrum disorders.
To assess the value of various grey-scale ultrasound, 2D color Doppler, and 3D power Doppler sonographic markers in predicting major intraoperative blood loss during planned cesarean hysterectomy for cases diagnosed with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders. ⋯ The use of 2D color Doppler and 3D power Doppler can help predict massive hemorrhage in cases of PAS disorders.

Randomized Controlled TrialNorepinephrine prophylaxis for postspinal anesthesia hypotension in parturient undergoing cesarean section: a randomized, controlled trial.
To investigate the efficacy and safety of prophylactic infusion of norepinephrine (NE) versus normal saline in patients undergoing cesarean section. ⋯ Prophylactic NE infusion effectively lowers the incidence of postspinal anesthesia hypotension and does not increase other adverse events in patients or neonates.
