Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyComparing the efficacy of intrauterine lidocaine and paracervical block in decreasing the pain associated with endometrial biopsy: a randomised trial.
Almost 50% of the patients experience moderate-to-severe pain during endometrial biopsy. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of intrauterine lidocaine for relieving pain during endometrial biopsy. ⋯ Compared to paracervical block, intrauterine lidocaine may be the preferred anaesthesia for endometrial biopsy, and it does not cause any serious complications.

Randomized Controlled TrialIntraperitoneal bupivacaine for pain relief after minilaparoscopy in patients with infertility.
To evaluate the efficacy of intraperitoneal bupivacaine to reduce post operative pain after diagnostic minilaparoscopy in patients with infertility. ⋯ Post operative intraperitoneal bupivacaine administration is beneficial for patients undergoing diagnostic minilaparoscopy. It can significantly decrease post operative pain for up to 8 h and reduce the need for additional analgesics.

Review Meta AnalysisPregnancy outcome following loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) a systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study aimed at assessing the association of the relative risk (RR) of adverse pregnancy outcomes with previous treatment of loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) for the management of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). ⋯ LEEP is associated with an increased risk of subsequent preterm delivery (<32/34, <28 weeks) and other serious pregnancy outcomes. But increasing LEEP volume or depth is not associated with an increased rate of preterm birth.

The timing of amniotomy, oxytocin and neuraxial analgesia and its association with labour duration and mode of birth.
The objective was to study the association of different timings of intrapartum interventions with labour duration and mode of birth. ⋯ Applying amniotomy, oxytocin and neuraxial analgesia at their optimal timing may improve the progress and outcome of labour.
