There is increasing evidence that gender dysphoria (GD) is more prevalent in the Klinefelter Syndrome (KS) population than in males in the general population; however, the exact incidence is uncertain. The aim of this study was to further explore the prevalence of gender-related issues, the role that physical characteristics play in gender identity, and the issues surrounding Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in KS. ⋯ These results indicate that a significant proportion of KS patients do not fully identify with the male gender and are unhappy living as the sex on their birth certificate. Although TRT worked for most, its use should be discussed carefully with those with gender identity concerns.

The impact of transcatheter aortic valve replacement on changes of coronary computed tomography-derived fractional flow reserve.
The effect of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) on changes of computed tomography-derived fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR) values was controversial. Thus, we aimed to identify the impact of TAVR on changes of CT-FFR values, plaque characteristics, and the associated clinical impact. ⋯ Our report suggested that TAVR did not significantly affect coronary CT-FFR measurements and plaque characteristics in the perioperative period, and furthermore, the patients' cardiac function showed gradual improvement in the short-term following discharge.

This study combined the bioinformatics and in vitro experiment-related technologies to analyze the impact of steroid 5 alpha-reductase 3 (SRD5A3) on the prognosis and immune microenvironment of Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma (LIHC). ⋯ SRD5A3 is actively expressed in LIHC, and positive expression of SRD5A3 is an independent risk factor for different prognoses in patients with LIHC. SRD5A3 can promote the proliferation, migration, and invasion of liver cancer cells and is related to short immune infiltration in patients with LIHC.

Obesity is an important health concern that poses many public health challenges. Evidence-based treatment modalities, capable of cost-effectively reaching large patient groups are needed. In this paper, we present the design and methods of the updated national, 12-month, digital weight management program, the Healthy Weight Coaching (HWC). ⋯ In addition, patients can make use of diaries and peer group chats for additional support. Data collected from the consenting patients will be used for research purposes with the weight change from baseline to 12 months as the main outcome in the real-life observational study. The study will provide invaluable insights into the application of digital modalities in the treatment of obesity.

This study outlines asthma burden trends across age, sex, regions and risk factors in 'Belt and Road' (B&R) countries from 1990 to 2019 using the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 data. Incidence, mortality, prevalence, years lived with disability (YLDs), disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) and risk factors for asthma were measured. India, China and Indonesia bore the heaviest burden in 2019. ⋯ High body mass index (BMI) led to increased YLDs in East, Central and Southeast Asia; North Africa; and the Middle East. Conclusively, asthma burden varies significantly by country. Tailoring control efforts to specific regions, sex and high BMI could enhance asthma management.
