Controlled Clinical TrialMidterm Clinical and Radiologic Outcomes after Percutaneous Interspinous Spacer Treatment for Neurogenic Intermittent Claudication.
To evaluate the midterm clinical and radiologic outcome of percutaneous interspinous process spacer (IPS) treatment for neurogenic intermittent claudication (NIC) in patients who fail conservative treatment. ⋯ Patients with NIC who failed conservative treatment and were treated with percutaneous IPS achieved significant gains in pain relief and reduced disability that remained durable at 3-year clinical follow-up evaluation. This outcome was accompanied by significant increases in spinal canal and foraminal cross-sectional areas at the treated level.

To assess whether dose monitoring software can be successfully implemented in fluoroscopically guided interventions and to provide dose data based on levels of complexity. ⋯ Implementation of dose monitoring software in fluoroscopically guided interventions can be successfully accomplished, and it facilitates data comparison.

Comparative StudyA Single-Center Retrospective Comparison of Doxorubicin-Loaded HepaSphere Transarterial Chemoembolization with Conventional Transarterial Chemoembolization for Patients with Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
To compare doxorubicin-loaded HepaSphere transarterial chemoembolization versus conventional transarterial chemoembolization in terms of survival, time to recurrence, acute reversible hepatotoxicity, postembolization syndrome, and chemoembolization-related mortality and morbidity. ⋯ Conventional chemoembolization and DEE chemoembolization were safe and effective interventions for unresectable HCC. DEE chemoembolization was not better than conventional chemoembolization in terms of survival and was associated with a shorter time to recurrence. Acute reversible hepatotoxicity occurred more frequently after conventional chemoembolization.

Celect Inferior Vena Cava Wall Strut Perforation Begets Additional Strut Perforation.
To identify risk factors for strut perforation following Celect inferior vena cava (IVC) filter (IVCF) placement and to use finite element modeling to predict the mechanical impact of long-dwelling filters. ⋯ Celect IVCF primary strut perforation is progressive over time and is more common in female patients and those with a history of malignancy. In addition, this progressive perforation may be predicted by three-dimensional finite element modeling. These patient populations may require closer follow-up after IVCF placement to prevent or reduce the risk for filter complication or worsening perforation.
